Deryl Burzynski, B. Comm., C.G.A.

Deryl grew up the youngest of eight children on his family's farm.

He graduated from the University of Alberta in 1983 with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree.

Upon graduating, Deryl began working for Ernst & Whinney Chartered Accountants (now KPMG) in Edmonton.  He worked there until 1987 when he followed a partner of Ernst & Whinney to work for Gasland Oil Ltd.  Deryl was the controller of Gasland Oil Ltd. until 1995 when he and his family moved back to work on the family farm.

Deryl received his C.G.A. designation in 1991.

Deryl married Ellen Smith of Duffield, Alberta and together they have 3 children; Deryk, age 20, Robyn, age 18, and Lindsey, age 15.  Ellen teaches at Hillmond School.  The whole family is actively involved in various sports and the girls take tap, ballet, and jazz dance lessons.  Deryl participates in the Lloydminster Co-ed Competitive Volleyball League and is the treasurer for the league.
