Kerry is the son of Jim Leckie, the founder of the firm.
Prior to joining our firm, Kerry worked with Meyers Norris Penny in Virden, Manitoba. He joined us in 1989 and has since obtained both his C.G.A. and C.A. designations. He obtained his Certified General Accountant designation in 1990 and then his Chartered Accountant designation in 1999 by successfully challenging the UFE. Kerry became a partner in September, 2000.
Kerry provides our clients with a full array of accounting, auditing, tax and business planning services. His keen interest in computers, software and the internet have afforded us the luxury of being able to provide a high level of expertise in this area to our clients. Kerry has been able to keep us on the leading edge of technology advances in the computer and software world. He led the team that designed and installed the computer network in our new facilities.
Kerry and his wife, Janelle, are keeping busy with their new addition to the family, baby Cooper who arrived in October of 2008. His children, Kellsey, age 15 and Aaron, age 13, also keep Kerry busy with their activities including water skiing, hockey, basketball, skating and swimming. Kerry is an active member of the community having served on various boards and committees such as the Lloydminster Curling Club, The Royal Canadian Legion, and the C.G.A. of Alberta. Presently, Kerry sits on the Best Western Wayside Inn Curling Classic committee that brings world caliber curling to Lloydminster each November. He enjoys a wide variety of activities with a special passion in both curling and golfing. Kerry, his wife, Janelle and his children enjoy spending time at their cabin.
Kerry loves dealing with his clients directly and helping them find and reach their long-term goals. With over 20 years experience in public practice, he has dealt with a very diverse range of clients and situations.
