Chris grew up on a farm outside of Maidstone, Saskatchewan.  He attended Lakeland College where he obtained his Professional Accounting diploma, Advanced Business diploma, and completed his Athabasca University Bachelor of Commerce program.  Chris enrolled in the CA School of Business program in May 2008 to acquire his Chartered Accountant designation.

While attending Lakeland College, Chris played for the Lloydminster Junior "B" Bandits where he was a part of two league titles.  He was also on the Lakeland College golf team where he was awarded the Golf MVP award.

Chris and his wife Ashlee were recently married in October 2007.  Chris enjoys playing hockey, golf, and slow-pitch.  He also enjoys travelling, going to the lake and spending time with family and friends.
