     Deryl Burzynski, B. Comm., C.G.A.

Deryl grew up the youngest of eight children on his family's farm.

He graduated from the University of Alberta in 1983 with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree.

Upon graduating, Deryl began working for Ernst & Whinney Chartered Accountants (now KPMG) in Edmonton.  He worked there until 1987 when he followed a partner of Ernst & Whinney to work for Gasland Oil Ltd.  Deryl was the controller of Gasland Oil Ltd. until 1995 when he and his family moved back to work on the family farm.

Deryl received his C.G.A. designation in 1991.

Deryl married Ellen Smith of Duffield, Alberta and together they have 3 children; Deryk, age 17, Robyn, age 15, and Lindsey, age 12.  Ellen teaches at Hillmond School.  The whole family is actively involved in various sports and the girls take tap, ballet, and jazz dance lessons.  Deryl takes time in the spring and fall to farm.  He participates in the Lloydminster Co-ed Competitive Volleyball League and is the treasurer for the league.  Deryl is presently chairman of the Marshall local school board.

When time permits, Deryl volunteers to help coach the various sporting activities the children are involved in at school.
