JAMES H. LECKIE ELECTED
 FELLOW OF THE INSTITUTE OF
CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS OF ALBERTA
 


James Leckie, partner and founder of Leckie & Associates, has been elected a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta.  This honour is the highest possible recognition that anyone in this profession can receive.  It is for Jim's outstanding service and commitment to the community and professional excellence that he has received this award.

Jim is very involved in volunteering his time in the community.  In the past, Jim has served as a school trustee, a town councilor, president of the Chamber of Commerce, president of the Lloydminster Men's Curling Club and Royal Canadian Legion.  Jim was treasurer of a Recreation Commission and served many offices in the Kinsmen Club as well as Kiwanis.

Jim is a strong supporter of community sports.  He has served on numerous boards and committees to develop local sport in the community of Lloydminster.  A few examples include: the establishment of the Legion Border Bonspiel and the Wayside Inn Curling Classic, as well as chairing a fund-raising committee that raised funds to install artificial ice in the Virden arena.
