Wade Moorhead B.Ed., C.A., was admitted as a partner in 2002.

Wade was born in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan and raised in Medicine Hat, Alberta.

He graduated from the University of Alberta in 1994 with a degree in education. Soon realizing that teaching did not satisfy him, he returned to Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton and graduated with distinction in the Accounting Diploma course in 1997. He articled with two Chartered Accountants firms in Edmonton and successfully passed the Uniform Final Examination in September 2000.

Wade joined Leckie & Associates in February 2002 after a period as senior audit manager at Watson Aberant LLP of Edmonton.

Wade has first hand experience in oilfield service work, pipeline construction and manufacturing. He also has extensive experience in ranching with M Bar Ranch in Irvine, Alberta, MacDougal Livestock Company of Medicine Hat, Alberta and his family's ranch at Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. His accounting experience has accumulated from both public company and public service entity audits, owner/manager consulting and various corporate and personal income tax assignments. Wade has a keen interest in tax planning and tax minimization and has completed Parts I and II of the "In Depth" Tax Course with the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Wade enjoys camping, fishing, slow pitch, mountain bike tours and rein horse training. He also participated in team roping in his ranch days.

Wade serves as a board member of the Lloydminster Chamber of Commerce.
